Aftercare is critical for prevention of infection, good healing of the skin and achieving successful results.
FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS:
Do not touch or scratch treated area.
Avoid perfumed or alcohol-based products.
Do not use soap or foundation for 24hrs. Translucent mineral powder is allowed.
Avoid sun exposure for 72hours following treatment to avoid formation of pigmentation and vessel dilation.
Avoid strenuous exercise to avoid vessel dilation.
Avoid exposure to alternating hot/cold conditions.
Do not exfoliate the skin. Let the small crusts (if present) naturally fall off.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, tanning salons.
Do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol, spicy foods, tea, coffee, chocolate or tobacco in first 48hrs.

AFTER 48 HOURS:
Normally after 48hrs protective healing crusts will have formed, thereby sealing the skin and preventing infection.
Gently cleanse area, tapping dry with tissue. The skin should be kept as dry & clean as possible until the crusts naturally fall off. Do not pick off or exfoliate.
Crusts will be present for approximately 5 days.
Optional: Lavender oil may be dabbed on to treated area x 3 times daily (one drop only on a cotton bud each time)
AFTER PROTECTIVE HEALING CRUSTS HAVE FALLEN OFF:
Complete sunblock must be used for at least 6 weeks.
Avoid heat exposure.
The area of treatment, and any area showing predisposition to telangiectasia, should always be protected by a sunscreen (at least spf15) particularly in the summer.
